Team Building Activities in Dublin — 15 Ideas That Actually Work

Team Building in Dublin · 01

The Leaderboard Does the Team Building.

The team building activities Dublin companies book most are competitive games — reaction walls like Batak, racing simulators, arcade classics and tournament tables — delivered to your office or venue and set up ready to play. They work indoors year-round, scale from 20 people to 5,000+, and nobody has to fall backwards into a colleague’s arms.

We’ve supplied the games for 300+ events a year for the last 15 years, so we’ve watched a lot of team building succeed — and a fair bit of it die on its feet. The pattern is simple: talks get polite nods; a leaderboard gets the sales team trash-talking accounts by round two. Below are the fifteen activities we see win again and again, with real hire prices, so you can build a shortlist without a discovery call.

Reaction Games: Every Score Starts an Argument.

The fastest way to turn a quiet office into an arena — everyone gets a score, and every score gets argued with.

1 · Batak Pro & Batak Lite (from €695 / €595)
The reaction wall pro athletes train on. Thirty seconds, twelve lights, one very public score — and the Lite fits through a standard office door. Add the magnetic leaderboard and watch department rivalries appear from nowhere.

2 · Strike a Light
Two players, one wall, pure panic. Runs knockout brackets brilliantly — and the tabletop version turns any meeting room into a finals venue.

3 · Whack-a-Mole (from €695)
Corporate-sized carnival chaos — the most undignified thirty seconds of anyone’s quarter, which is exactly the point.

4 · Stop the Clock (from €695)
One button, one impossible target. Thirty-second turns keep a queue of fifty moving when the whole floor is playing.

Racing & Sports Simulators — the Premium Centrepieces

The photos that end up on the company Slack. One flagship changes how the whole day feels — and gives the leaderboard its main event.

Mario Kart Arcade GP DX Hire — iconic Mario Kart racing arcade for corporate event entertainment

5 · Mario Kart Arcade GP (from €1,995)
Twin-seat, head-to-head, winner-stays-on — the single most fought-over game we deliver.

6 · Moto GP Simulator (from €1,675)
A motorbike sim you genuinely lean into corners on. The quiet one from finance posts the fastest lap. Every time.

7 · The sim stable (from €995–€1,595)
Fast Feet and the Football Simulator for the office World Cup, the Interactive Ski Simulator and the American Football Simulator when you want a centrepiece nobody’s seen before.

Tournament Classics · 04

Bracket on the Whiteboard, Dignity on the Line.

Low setup, long play — these run themselves for hours and give the non-sprinters somewhere to shine.

8 · Pool Table (from €495) — the classic; doubles format gets twice the team in.

10 · Foosball (from €295) — 2-v-2 chaos, zero athletic ability required.

9 · Table Tennis (from €395) — round-robin in the canteen, finals with an audience.

11 · Shuffleboard (from €495) — the one nobody’s practised, so the playing field starts level.

Going premium? The full-size Commercial Shuffleboard (from €995) and Commercial Air Hockey (from €895) are the showpiece versions — built for venues, headline setups and events that want the clubhouse look.

Still to Pick · 06

Crowd Games, the Retro Corner and the Halftime Show

12 · Crazy Golf & Mini Golf (from €495 / €895)
Crazy Golf is the portable nine-hole course that snakes between the desks — scorecards, sabotage, a putting green where the printer used to be. Mini Golf (from €895) is the premium flagship: motorised moving obstacles that make it the centrepiece of a headline event or VIP day.

13 · Giant Jenga & Giant Connect 4 (from €50 each)
The budget heroes. Scatter a few around the room and they quietly do more mixing than any icebreaker script.

14 · Retro Arcade Machines (from €300)
Pac-Man, Street Fighter, Donkey Kong — the games half your team grew up on, with a high-score challenge running all day. Add the Virtual Pinball Machine (from €449) for the full retro corner.

15 · Fun Food Booth (from €495)
Fresh popcorn and candy floss with an operator — gives spectators a job, smells like a fairground, photographs like one too.

The Honest Bit · 07

Do Team Building Activities Actually Work?

Honest answer from the supplier’s side of 300+ events a year: yes — when people actually take part, and that’s the whole trick. Speeches produce audiences; games produce participants. Give a mixed group a Batak score to beat and the hierarchy flattens in minutes — the intern is suddenly coaching the director, and two people who’ve only ever emailed each other are arguing about shuffleboard technique.

Competition does the social heavy-lifting on its own. You don’t need a facilitator with a lanyard; you need a leaderboard and a queue. It’s also why these formats hold up to repeat bookings — a games afternoon travels well from summer party to Christmas do without feeling like a rerun, because the rivalries carry over.

Office or Venue? The Irish Weather Answer

Every activity on this list is indoor-first. Meeting room, canteen, warehouse floor, hotel function room — if it has a door and a socket, we’ve probably run an event in it. Dublin weather doesn’t get a vote. (If you’re set on sunshine, our outdoor games guide covers the summer-social angle.)

What Do Team Building Activities Cost in Dublin?

Real numbers, straight from our hire list: the flagship simulators run €995–€1,995 and the premium Mini Golf €895 — the centrepieces that headline a day. Team Building in Dublin — FAQs

Hire prices run from €50 for giant games up to €1,995 for our flagship racing simulator, with most reaction games and tournament tables between €295 and €695. Most companies combine three or four games. Delivery is quoted separately based on your location, and quotes come back within an hour on working days.

From 20 people to 5,000 and up. For bigger groups we build rotations — short turns, multiple games and a leaderboard keep everyone playing rather than queueing.

Less than you’d think. Tabletop reaction games sit on a desk, Batak Lite fits through a standard office door, and a crazy golf course is designed to work around furniture. Tell us the room and we’ll tell you what fits.

Yes — that’s most of what we do. The games come to you and set up in meeting rooms, canteens and open-plan floors. It’s also the easiest way to get full attendance: nobody has to travel.

Popular dates go first — summer Fridays, late November and early December especially. Send us your date and we’ll confirm availability the same day.

Yes — we deliver events across Ireland. Delivery is quoted by distance, so a Cork or Galway event simply carries a different delivery line on the quote.

Staff events are often treated as an allowable staff cost, but the rules have conditions and limits — check with your accountant for your situation. We provide itemised invoices that make the paperwork easy.

Every event has spectators — and that’s fine. Leaderboards recruit most of them by round two, tournament brackets give the rest something to bet on, and the fun food booth gives everyone else a job.

Planning one of these? Talk to a human.

We set up team building events every week. Tell us the date and the venue and we’ll do the rest.
